Flora Ritman is a floral art teacher who graduated in Holland. Whilst working with dried flowers she discovered a world of artistic possibilities that she could apply to pumpkins.
Having obtianed her CAE certificate, she grows pumpkins in her gardens organically. Once collected and dried, she turns them into many different items such as lamps, candle holders, boxes, maracas, birdhouses, etc.
She cuts the pumpkins into shapes with thin saws, then paints the parts with non-toxic paint and creates her own designs.
When requested, she teaches classes and gives demonstrations. She also prepares decorations for special occasions taking the environment into consideration by using fruits, green, branches and flowers from her garden in Menorca.
